CHALLENGES
Eastern Michigan is a team that despite being just 2-3, should definitely catch the Black Knight’s attention. With a win over Rutgers and close losses to teams like Kentucky, Toledo, and Ohio, the Eagles are dangerous. Furthermore, EMU has a tough rushing defense allowing just over 100 yards per game. However, being able to stop basic runs does not always equate having the ability to stop an option attack. Offensively, look for the Eagles to give Army’s secondary a workout. Senior Brogan Roback completes 60 percent of his passes while averaging over 250 passing yards a game. He has a large stable of capable receivers to throw to. Statistically, EMU ranks among the nation’s best in several defensive stat categories. The Eagles are also 13th nationally in the FBS in 3 and outs forced on opposing offenses per game (5.4). This is a game Army can win but if they don’t play clean ball and execute the option, they can certainly lose.
Saturday’s game kicks off at Noon ET and can be seen on the CBS Sports Network.
