In this short video, IMDb tries to answer: Where the hell was Batman?
Following the events of The Batman (2022), Oz Cobb, aka the Penguin, plays a game to seize the reins of Gotham’s criminal underworld. Aside from the Bat-signal in the final shot of the season finale, we never got our Robert Pattinson cameo in The Penguin. Colin Farrell fought hard to get his version of the Penguin in The Batman (2022), but failed.

For his own series, however, the character is portrayed as a casual smoker who prefers cigars. An umbrella falls and the logo changes to the Warner Bros. logo.
Colin Farrell did for Penguin what Heath Ledger did for Joker

This will go down in history the same way Heath Ledger’s Joker transformed this character
ICONIC!! I wouldn’t have thought it for this role, but Colin Farrell simply delivered the performance of his career with an incredible interpretation of the Penguin. Failure to win Best Actor at the Golden Globes, SAG Awards and elsewhere fails to appreciate how the producers, writers and incredible makeup team helped Colin Turin deliver this incredible performance that will be the hallmark of his career and the reference penguin role for the next 3 generations.
